Request a Speaker

The Michigan City Police Department provides officer speaker programs free of charge to the community. To request a speaker, please call the Training Division at (219) 874-3221 x1020.

Topics will include:

Retain An Officer

With the permission and approval of the Chief of Police, Michigan City Police Officers may be retained for private security services while off-duty. To make request a to retain an Officer, please contact Chief of Operations Kevin Urbanczyk.

House Check Service

The Michigan City Police Department provides a House Check Service for residents within the city limits free of charge for up to 30 days. While you are away, officers will perform house checks three times daily to ensure the safety and security of your home.
