DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the holiday season at the Michigan City Festival of Lights\, beginning December 5th\, 2026\, a cherished annual event that transforms the city into a winter wonderland. Stroll down Franklin Street through the Uptown Arts District during the festive parade\, then experience the dazzling and vast light displays in Washington Park\, where thousands of custom-designed twinkling lights create a magical atmosphere for families and friends. \nThe Festival of Lights features a variety of holiday activities\, including visits from Santa Claus\, live musical performances\, local food vendors\, and plenty of opportunities to capture memorable photos. The City’s official Christmas Tree serves as a centerpiece for the festivities\, surrounded by seasonal treats like hot chocolate and festive snacks. \nHosted by Michigan City Special Events in partnership with the Parks & Recreation Department\, the Festival of Lights offers an enchanting holiday experience at no cost! \nParade occurs: Dec. 5th\, 2026 at 5pm
