DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a day of costumes\, treats and Halloween fun at Boo at the Washington Park Zoo on Saturday\, Oct. 17. \nFamilies are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and explore the Zoo while enjoying community trick-or-treat stations\, Halloween-themed photo opportunities\, spooky props and special BOO-themed animal enrichment throughout the grounds. \nParents: Boo at the Zoo is considered a “merry\, not scary” Halloween event! \nEvent Details\nSaturday\, Oct. 17\, 2026\n10 a.m.–4 p.m.\nWashington Park Zoo  \n115 Lake Shore Dr\, Michigan City\, IN 46360 \nGates open at 10 a.m.\, with last admission at 3:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating ends at 4 p.m. \nAdmission & Tickets\nRegular Zoo admission applies: \n\nAdults: $12\nChildren ages 2–11: $10\nInfants under age 1: Free\n\nInfants will still need a ticket or Eventbrite reservation to participate in trick-or-treating. \nAdvance tickets are recommended due to limited availability. \nClick Here to Purchase Tickets on Eventbrite \nTickets may also be picked up at the Zoo office while supplies last. Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend\, your ticket purchase will be considered a donation to the Zoo. \nWashington Park Zoo Members\nZoo members receive free admission but must pick up an event ticket from the Zoo office before Oct. 11\, 2026. \nMembers must bring their current Zoo membership pass and a photo ID when checking in. Memberships cannot be looked up on the day of the event. Admission is limited to named adults and listed children on the membership; additional guests and plus-one options are not available for this special event. \nWeather\nBoo at the Zoo is a rain-or-shine event\, so guests are encouraged to dress for the weather. \nIf severe weather causes the Zoo to cancel the event\, guests with purchased tickets will receive either a full refund or a Zoo day pass. \nNote: This event is hosted by the Washington Park Zoo\, not the Michigan City Special Events Department.
