DESCRIPTION:Join us for the annual Michigan City Fireworks Spectacular Show at sunset on Saturday\, July 4th\, 2026 at Washington Park Beach. Fireworks can be viewed from anywhere along the City’s 1.9 miles of beachfront\, within Washington Park\, or from the Uptown Arts District. \nParking is available in Washington Park on a first come\, first served basis. Additional parking can be found at City Hall\, the Courthouse\, and along downtown streets. This event is free and open to the public. Washington Park parking rates apply.

SUMMARY:Singing Sands Sculpting Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Singing Sands Sand Sculpting Festival is a three-day celebration of Michigan City’s beautiful lakefront and beach\, taking place at Washington Park from July 18-20\, 2025. The centerpiece of the event is a professional sand sculpting competition and exhibition\, drawing some of the world’s most talented and well-known sand sculptors who will create incredible works of art in the city’s famous “Singing Sands!” \nAdmission is free on Friday\, while Saturday and Sunday admission is $5.00 per person. Children 6 and under can attend for free with a paying adult. Washington Park parking regulations apply\, and all tickets will be sold at the gate. Event hours are daily from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The festival is presented by the LaPorte County Convention & Visitors Bureau and is a great opportunity for the community to come together and experience incredible sand artistry along Michigan City’s scenic shoreline. \n
