Celebrate spring at the Michigan City Easter Egg Hunt on April 4th, 2026, a free, family-friendly tradition that’s a favorite for all ages. With more than 20,000 candy-filled eggs hidden throughout the hunt area, plus special golden ticket prizes and festive surprises, kids will have plenty to discover and enjoy.
Each year, Michigan City’s youth descend on the park to hunt eggs filled with candy, treats, and all kinds of fun surprises. With the help of the Michigan City Senior Center, Michigan City Police Department, Michigan City Fire Department, and many local groups and businesses, this event brings the community together to celebrate Easter in a safe, welcoming, and joyful way.
There’s no need to register—just show up, enjoy the fun, and make some springtime memories with family and friends.

Children do not need to bring bags or baskets—each child will receive a bag provided by the City. Plastic eggs will be collected at the end of the event for recycling.
