Celebrate the holiday season at the Michigan City Festival of Lights, beginning December 5th, 2026, a cherished annual event that transforms the city into a winter wonderland. Stroll down Franklin Street through the Uptown Arts District during the festive parade, then experience the dazzling and vast light displays in Washington Park, where thousands of custom-designed twinkling lights create a magical atmosphere for families and friends.
The Festival of Lights features a variety of holiday activities, including visits from Santa Claus, live musical performances, local food vendors, and plenty of opportunities to capture memorable photos. The City’s official Christmas Tree serves as a centerpiece for the festivities, surrounded by seasonal treats like hot chocolate and festive snacks.
Hosted by Michigan City Special Events in partnership with the Parks & Recreation Department, the Festival of Lights offers an enchanting holiday experience at no cost!
