Students from Michigan City Area Schools and Marquette Schools were recognized this morning for their outstanding writing and thoughtful reflection during a special essay award ceremony hosted at City Hall by the Michigan City Human Rights Commission in collaboration with the Black History Month Committee.
The program celebrated student essays exploring themes connected to Black History Month, encouraging young writers to reflect on history, equality, and the ongoing pursuit of human rights.
