An exciting summer camp for children ages 6-11 years old. Kids enjoy making new friends at camp each summer while participating in a variety of fun and educational programs including games, arts & crafts, swimming lessons, reading program, exercise. and so much more. Breakfast and lunch is provided by the Michigan City Area Schools and is included in the camp registration fee. The camp runs for 8 weeks between June and August. Registration is taken on a weekly basis.

Junior Golf Program
School's out and it's time to get outside and play. The week long Junior Golf Camp is held each year in June at the Michigan City Municipal Golf Course. Kids will learn to love the game of golf in a fun and positive environment. This camp focuses on the building blocks of a proper golf swing and teaches golf etiquette. Kids compete in daily skills challenges and scoring events. The camp ends with a Junior Golf Tournament and pizza party.

Piranhas Swim Club
Piranha’s is a swim club sponsored by the Michigan City Park Department.

The Park Department is a sponsor of the Michigan City Soccer Club. The Michigan City Soccer Club (MCSC) is a not for profit organization committed to promoting soccer to area youth by teaching fundamentals and good sportsmanship. The club started in 1991 and now has the participation of more than 600 children per year, with an age range of 4 to 14 years old. Over 100 community volunteers and volunteer board of directors currently support 50 teams consisting of approximately 55% boys and 45% girls.
MCSC has done much over the past 25 years to promote the participation of a broad segment of youth from the community. In fact, nearly 100% of Michigan City Schools are represented in the various teams in the league.
Soccer in the Sand is an organization that brings a nationwide series event to Washington Park each year. There are youth, adult and coed divisions. Games will be include 4 players on each team plus goalkeepers (5 on 5). Games will consist of three 11 minute periods with 2 minute breaks. All teams will be guaranteed 3 bracket games with the opportunity to advance to the semi-finals and finals. Minimum roster count is 5 and maximum is 11.
