On June 30, 2026, Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch delivered the 2026 State of the City address, highlighting the progress our community has made together while outlining the work still ahead. Centered on the theme “Celebrating Our People, Building Momentum Together, Committing to Lasting Change,” the presentation showcases accomplishments across public safety, infrastructure, economic development, housing, parks, workforce development, neighborhood investment, and city services. It also outlines the City’s long-term strategy to strengthen critical infrastructure, expand opportunity, and build a stronger Michigan City for future generations.
