Get ready for a day of costumes, treats and Halloween fun at Boo at the Washington Park Zoo on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Families are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and explore the Zoo while enjoying community trick-or-treat stations, Halloween-themed photo opportunities, spooky props and special BOO-themed animal enrichment throughout the grounds.
Parents: Boo at the Zoo is considered a “merry, not scary” Halloween event!

Gates open at 10 a.m., with last admission at 3:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating ends at 4 p.m.
Admission & Tickets
Regular Zoo admission applies:
- Adults: $12
- Children ages 2–11: $10
- Infants under age 1: Free
Infants will still need a ticket or Eventbrite reservation to participate in trick-or-treating.

Tickets may also be picked up at the Zoo office while supplies last. Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, your ticket purchase will be considered a donation to the Zoo.
Washington Park Zoo Members
Zoo members receive free admission but must pick up an event ticket from the Zoo office before Oct. 11, 2026.
Members must bring their current Zoo membership pass and a photo ID when checking in. Memberships cannot be looked up on the day of the event. Admission is limited to named adults and listed children on the membership; additional guests and plus-one options are not available for this special event.
Weather
Boo at the Zoo is a rain-or-shine event, so guests are encouraged to dress for the weather.
If severe weather causes the Zoo to cancel the event, guests with purchased tickets will receive either a full refund or a Zoo day pass.
