How We Serve
The Licensing Board consists of up to five members, appointed to three-year terms by the Mayor. $25 is paid to appointees per meeting attended.
One appointee must be a registered engineer or architect, one must be a resident of the City of Michigan City (citizen), one must be an electrical contractor, one must be an HVAC contractor, and one must be a building trade craftsman. Members of the board must also be residents of LaPorte County. At no time shall the licensing board have more than one member who is owner, employee, or otherwise connected with the same private business enterprise, whether it be a corporation, partnership, joint venture, proprietorship, or other business association.
Meetings: 5:00 PM on the third Monday of each month in Suite 108 at the NECA/IBEW Community Building, 301 E. 8th St..
